Introducing new chef Zeng Feng from Si Chuan Dou Hua

I am very pleased to introduce a new chef instructor to Palate Sensations. Executive Chef Zeng Feng from Si Chuan Dou Hua Chinese Restaurant will be joining us in early 2008. He will be in charge of all Chinese cookery classes.

About Zeng Feng

A “National Advanced-Grade Master Chef” in China, Zeng Feng has been the Executive Chef of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant since 1997.

Born in Sichuan province, Chef Zeng Feng has acquired his knowledge in cooking and presentation through experiences in China and South East Asia region in the past 24 years.

Amongst the many accolades he has received from various competitions in Asia, his awards include: China Cooking Competition 1993 in China – Gold & Silver Medal; China National Technical Expert Award 1996; World Golden Kitchen 2005 – Gold Medal.

Recognised for his finesse in Sichuan cuisine, he has been invited to conduct cooking demonstrations on national television programmes in China and Singapore, and numerous overseas promotions in Yangon, Tokyo and Malaysia.

We have just finalised the Sichuan Chinese New Year menu so I will be scheduling the class soon.

We have also just finalised our 6 Week Basic Skills - Chinese Techniques workshops. The workshop will be conducted differently as we are keeping the class small and we will be creating individual workstations for the entire 6 weeks. This is definately not to be missed. Each participant will be receiving their own utensils such as a wok, a Chinese chopper and a wok stirrer.
